Par teiksmoto dēvētais Zebrus ezers, kas aizņem 420 ha, Dobeles novadā ir gan vislielākais, gan arī visleģendārākais.Rakstnieks Kārlis Ieviņš to ir nodēvējis par teiksmoto ezeru, kura krastos staro seno, brīvo latvju dzīves burvība. Ezers ir iecienīta atpūtas un makšķerēšanas vieta Tas ir 3,6 km garš, 1,75 km plats un lielākais dziļums sasniedz 3,9 m. Vietām ezera krasti stāvi, paceļas pat 30 metrus virs ezera līmeņa.

Lake Zebrus is the largest and most beautiful lake in the county. It is managed by JSC “Latvia's State Forests” which offers different recreation facilities on the shore of the lake. 

Fish stock is replenished on an annual basis, which guarantees a good catch. Zebrus Lake is one of the few lakes which is inhabited by pike-perch. The recreational centre “Niedras” is a popular recreational site by the lake. The walking paths and bicycle routes help you explore the beauty of nature and historical and cultural heritage.
