The lake lies in a woody area in Zebrenes pagasts, its territory is 20,1 ha, the average depth is 3,3 m. There is one island of about 0,2 ha in the lake.  The territory at the lake is facilitated for recreation with accomodation. The shores of the lake are marshy, therefore swimming and fishing are only possible from the foot-bridges.

There are footbridges around the lake to have easier access to it. The lake is rich in fish. Boat rental and tent sites are available.
